Terms of Service
As of November 2, 2026.
Who these terms cover
These terms apply to everyone who uses Truvon: the AI agents that call it, the companies and developers that run those agents, the people agents act for, business owners who claim a listing, and visitors to truvon.ai. Using Truvon means accepting them. A company running an agent accepts them for its agent's use.
Using the directory
Reading Truvon is free and needs no account. In return:
- Use it to find and deal with businesses. Truvon is provided for one purpose: finding businesses to do business with, and the work an agent does to hire, book, order from, ask, or contact them. Any other use is outside these terms, including compiling information about a business or the people who run it for a dispute, claim, or investigation, and decisions about credit, insurance, employment, or housing (Truvon is not a consumer reporting agency). We keep records of how the service is used to enforce these terms.
- Say who you are. Agents identify their platform honestly (user agent, signed requests, or a connector install) and never pose as another platform.
- Keep within limits. We may limit request rates and block traffic that harms the service. Bulk copying of the directory to rebuild it is not allowed.
- Mark tests. Test traffic carries the header
x-truvon-test: 1so it never counts toward any business's record. - Keep a verified person's token. When a person verifies through their agent, the agent must keep the sign-in token it receives, store it securely, and reuse it for that person in later conversations, asking for a new code only when the token is lost or expired. Codes and tokens belong to that person and must never be shared with or used for anyone else; a token works only with the agent key it was issued to. This helps keep our platform honest and free of abuse.
- Show the record as given. Where Truvon marks a fact unresolved or from one source only, an agent should not present it to its person as settled.
What agents report
Outcomes, follow-up answers, business answers, and mismatch flags change public records, so they must be true.
- Report only what really happened, for a real person's request.
- Never report on a business you own, work for, or compete with, or for compensation of any kind.
- Never invent people, conversations, or verifications, or reuse one person's token for others.
We screen reports for rings and patterns of fabrication. We may discard reports, lower an identity's weight, or block it, and say on a business's record that reports were removed, or even ban a business that tries to game the system.
Ranking and neutrality
Truvon ranks by how well a business fits the need and its track record, never by payment.
- No business can pay for a higher place, and the paid plan does not change ranking.
- The same rules apply to every AI platform. We have written terms with platforms and partners; the terms that apply to a platform are available to it on request, and none of them changes ranking.
- A business's own booking or ordering channel is shown first where it has one.
- How ranking works is described publicly at truvon.ai/llms.txt.
Business owners
- Claiming: you may claim a listing only for a business you run or are authorized to represent. We confirm through a contact channel the business publishes. Claiming asks you to accept these owner terms, and we record that you did and when.
- What you confirm or add is published. Facts you confirm or add (hours, services, prices, contact details, answers) are shown on your listing, publicly, to anyone and to any AI agent, who may use and repeat them. Add only what you want public, and nothing you don't have the right to share.
- It stays yours. What you add remains yours; you give Truvon the license below to store, show, and use it in your listing and in search.
- You hold Truvon harmless for it. You are responsible for what you confirm or add, and you will defend and cover Truvon against claims and losses that arise from it, including claims that it is wrong or that you had no right to share it.
- Accuracy: what you add must be true and current. Your facts are labeled as from the owner, and other sources stay visible beside them.
- Opt-out: you may ask us to stop listing the business. Public-record facts may remain with their source.
- Free for now: listings and owner tools are free today, and we ask for no card. A paid plan comes only once agents send a business traffic, and nothing is charged without the owner's agreement.
- The plan, when it starts: the price is shown on the pricing page and again at checkout before you agree (today about $6 a month per location). It renews automatically each month until you cancel, and checkout asks you to agree to the renewal separately. Stripe processes payment.
- Cancel anytime, online: a "Cancel plan" button in your account and a cancel link in every receipt end the plan in one step. Cancelling stops the next charge; the plan runs to the end of the month already paid. We don't refund part of a month, except for a billing error or where the law requires it.
- Price changes: we tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies, and you can cancel before it does.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- fake outcomes, reviews, verifications, or identities;
- hide instructions for AI in business text (prompt injection); we strip and record them;
- probe, overload, or break the service, or get around limits or blocks;
- use Truvon to harass a business or its people, or for anything illegal;
- scrape the directory in bulk to resell or rebuild it;
- use Truvon for any purpose other than finding and dealing with businesses.
Content, data, and intellectual property
- Business facts come from businesses and public sources; each keeps its source. Truvon owns the database, its arrangement, the track records, and the software.
- Using results: you may use what Truvon returns to serve your users, free, with attribution to Truvon (for example a link to the listing). Bulk copying, rebuilding, or reselling the directory is not allowed.
- Open data: some facts come from open datasets under their own licenses, listed with their notices at truvon.ai/open-data. If you pass such facts on in bulk, their license notices go with them. API responses point to that page in a
Linkheader (rel="license"), so it costs nothing per search. - What you submit stays yours. Owners and agents keep ownership of what they submit and license it to Truvon to store, show, publish, and use in records and search, worldwide and without charge, for as long as it is part of a listing.
Disclaimers, liability, and indemnity
Drafted from the clauses business directories and places-data services commonly use; for counsel's review.
- Facts are shown, not guaranteed. Each fact carries its source, its date, and how settled it is. Businesses change hours, prices, phones, and services without telling anyone, so Truvon does not guarantee that any fact is accurate, complete, or current. Confirm what matters with the business before relying on it.
- Businesses are independent. Truvon does not employ, endorse, or vouch for any business and is not a party to any booking, order, quote, or job between a person and a business. Grades and track records report what agents told us; they are not a recommendation or a guarantee of anyone's work, and Truvon is not responsible for a business's conduct, products, or services.
- No professional advice. Nothing in Truvon is legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
- Links and other services. Truvon links to businesses' own sites, booking and ordering platforms, and other services it does not control, and is not responsible for them.
- As is. The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. It may change, pause, or stop, in whole or in part, and features may be marked as tests.
- Limit of liability. Truvon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Truvon's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid Truvon in the 12 months before the claim or $100. These limits apply to the extent the law allows and do not limit liability that cannot be limited, such as for fraud.
- Indemnity. If you run an agent, submit content, or claim a listing, you will defend and cover Truvon against third-party claims and the losses they cause that arise from your breach of these terms, your content, or your agent's conduct.
- Wrong or harmful listings. Anyone can report a wrong fact or a listing that shouldn't exist, through the listing or support@truvon.ai. We review reports and correct or remove what is wrong; that process, not a lawsuit, is the first step.
- General. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them with the business. Neither side is responsible for failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These terms, with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement about Truvon.
Changes, ending, and contact
- We post changes here with the date, with 30 days' notice for changes that reduce your rights.
- Governing law and disputes (decided by Daniel, 2026-10-27): Missouri law governs these terms. Disputes are settled by binding individual arbitration, not in court and not as a class action, except that either side may bring a claim in small claims court or ask a court to stop misuse of the service or its data.
- We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, or suspected breach of these terms; owners keep the right to cancel their plan anytime.
